Frequently Asked Questions
Last updated: April 2026
Is PerkPerks free?
Yes, 100% free. No premium tier, no trial that runs out, no credit card needed to sign up. Everything — email reminders, calendar reminders, the card recommendation engine, welcome bonus tracking, and our AI chatbot Perky — is included at no cost.
We'd rather help you save the hundreds you're already paying for than charge you more on top.
What data does PerkPerks collect?
Just your card names, your email, and your reminder preferences. That's the whole list. Your name is optional.
To be specific: we collect the card issuer (e.g. "Chase") and product name (e.g. "Sapphire Reserve") — that's it for card info. We never collect card numbers, bank logins, passwords, CVV codes, expiration dates, or anything that could be used to access your accounts or make transactions. You pick your cards from our list, tell us how you prefer to use your points, and give us an email to send reminders to. No app to install, no accounts to link. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
How do the benefit reminders work?
You get a monthly email before your credits expire — no need to check or log into anything. Each email has two parts: your expiring credits (travel credits, dining perks, hotel night certificates, Uber Cash, Saks credits, airline fee credits, and more) with a countdown showing how many days are left, and a "Which Card to Use" cheat sheet for groceries, dining, gas, travel, and other categories.
Want deadlines in your calendar too? Opt in during signup and you'll get a calendar invite alongside each email — works with any calendar app, such as Google Calendar, Apple Calendar, Outlook, and others.
If you've added a card open date, we also keep an eye on your welcome bonus spending deadline. We'll flag it in your monthly email when it's within 30 days, and send a separate calendar reminder 14 days before so you have time to hit your spend.
Most premium cardholders leave $200–500+ in unused perks on the table every year. We just don't want that to be you. Set up your reminders in 30 seconds.
What types of benefits can I track?
PerkPerks tracks 630+ benefits across 137 credit cards from Chase, Amex, Citi, Capital One, Bank of America, and other major issuers. That covers things like travel credits (airline fee credits, hotel credits, travel portal credits), dining and delivery credits (Uber Eats, Grubhub), streaming credits (Disney+, Peacock, Audible), shopping credits (Saks, Walmart+), rideshare credits (Uber Cash), hotel night certificates, companion passes, lounge access, welcome bonus spending deadlines, and card anniversary benefits.
Each benefit has its own reset cycle — monthly, semi-annually, or annually — and PerkPerks knows the timing so you get reminded at the right moment, not after it's too late. Curious what you might be missing? Check what benefits you're leaving on the table.
How does PerkPerks recommend which card to use?
We compare the earning rates across every card in your wallet and show you the winner for each spending category. Dining, groceries, gas, travel, streaming, transit, online shopping — we check them all.
Here's what makes it a bit different from a simple "this card earns 4x" comparison: we factor in your point preference. If you redeem for travel, those 4x Membership Rewards points might be worth 8 cents per dollar. If you prefer cash back, they might only be worth 2.4 cents. PerkPerks does that math for you, so the recommendation reflects what the points are actually worth to you.
Your personalized "Which Card to Use" cheat sheet shows up in every monthly email. You can also ask Perky anytime if you want a quick answer on the spot.
Note: Recommendations are based on publicly available earning rate data and point valuations. PerkPerks is informational only and does not provide financial advice. Always verify with your card issuer.
Can PerkPerks tell me the best card for dining, groceries, or gas?
Yes — that's the "Which Card to Use" section in your monthly email. Say you carry an Amex Gold (4x at restaurants), a Chase Sapphire Reserve (3x at dining), and a Chase Freedom Flex (5% rotating categories). Most months, PerkPerks will tell you to use the Gold for dining — but when Freedom Flex has a quarterly bonus that beats it, you'll see that flagged instead.
The recommendations update on their own when rotating categories change or promotional rates expire. And if you've added your partner's or household member's cards, everyone's covered in one email.
For more specific questions — like "should I use my Venture X or Sapphire Reserve for this hotel booking?" — just ask Perky. That's what the chatbot is for.
How many credit cards does PerkPerks cover?
137 credit cards and counting, from every major US issuer — Chase, Amex, Citi, Capital One, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, US Bank, Barclays, and more. Across those cards, we track 630+ individual benefits.
A couple of things worth mentioning: you can add multiple copies of the same card. If you and your partner both have an Amex Platinum, or you carry both a personal and business version, each one gets its own tracking and reminders. We also add new cards regularly — if yours isn't listed, drop us a line at hello@perkperks.club and we'll get it in.
How is PerkPerks different from other card benefit management tools like MaxRewards, CardPointers, and AwardWallet?
The short version: PerkPerks gives you the reminders and recommendations without asking for your bank login or making you install an app.
MaxRewards and AwardWallet ask you to link your bank accounts so they can pull balances and transactions. PerkPerks doesn't — you just pick your card names from a list and you're set.
CardPointers and MaxRewards are primarily iOS and Android apps. PerkPerks is web and email only — which means it works on any device, any operating system, any browser. No app store, no downloads, no updates to keep up with. iPhone, Android, desktop, tablet — if you can open an email, you're covered.
Most tracking tools need you to open the app and check. PerkPerks works the other way around — we send you a monthly email (and optional calendar invite) automatically. You don't have to do anything to stay on top of your benefits.
Add your card open date and PerkPerks tracks your welcome bonus spending deadline too — it shows up in your monthly email and as a calendar reminder 14 days before. None of the others do this the same way.
And then there's Perky, our AI chatbot — something no other card benefit management tool offers. More on that in the next question.
What can Perky, the AI chatbot, help me with?
Perky is like having a knowledgeable credit card friend available anytime you have a question. It can answer things like: "Is my Amex Platinum worth the $895 fee?", "What's the best card for groceries?", "Compare the Chase Sapphire Reserve and Capital One Venture X", or "What's the current welcome offer on the Citi Premier?"
Under the hood, Perky has access to earning rates, benefit details, and welcome bonus data across all 137 cards in our system. It also pulls real-world tips, strategies, and recent datapoints from credit card community forums — things like retention offers, churning strategies, and approval odds that you won't find on issuer websites.
You can use Perky whether or not you've signed up for reminders. Just head to the chat page and ask away.
Perky is powered by AI and may occasionally be inaccurate or outdated. Always verify information with your card issuer before making financial decisions.
Why was PerkPerks built?
Honestly? Because we were tired of forgetting our own card perks.
Premium cards like the Amex Platinum ($895/year) or Chase Sapphire Reserve ($795/year) come with travel credits, dining perks, hotel night certificates, and all sorts of benefits. But keeping track of what resets when, which card is best at the grocery store, and whether your welcome bonus deadline is next week — that's a lot to manage on your own.
We looked at the tools out there — MaxRewards, CardPointers, AwardWallet — and they all wanted us to download an app, link a bank account, or both. For something that should be as simple as "just tell me what's expiring and which card to use," that felt like too much.
So we built PerkPerks. Pick your cards in 30 seconds. Get a monthly email with everything you need to know. Chat with Perky when you have a question. No app, no bank data, no cost — just a straightforward way to make sure you're actually getting what you pay for.
